Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of Madurai Division held today (16.06.2023) at Madurai. Mr. P.Ananth, Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad, chaired the meeting. This was the 157th Meeting of DRUCC in the Division. Mr. R.P.Rathi Priya Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Secretary of DRUCC, welcomed the committee members. Branch officers were also present.
In his keynote address, Divisional Railway Manager said, the DRUCC meetings help to improve the working of the system and to focus more on the Passenger Amenities. He said Railway administration is grateful to the members for giving valuable inputs.
DRM Said, the Division is performing well in the current financial year. The revenue earnings of the Division for the first two months of the financial year has touched Rs.197.88 crores which is 21 percentage higher than that of Rs. 163.53 crore registered during the corresponding period in the last financial year, Highlight of the first two months of the performance of the Division was the loading of 0.4892 Million Tonnes freight, which fetched Rs.63.96 crores. Madurai Division maintained punctuality of 95 percent in Mail/Express train operations.

Syed Ibrahim, Mr. S.Venkateswaran, Mr. N.Arumugam, Mr. R.Pandiaraja, Mr. M.Piramanayagam, Ms. K.Ramu aka Sabeena, and Mr. A.S.P.Sivasundaram raised various points for discussion at the meeting.
