A petition was submitted in the district collector's office on behalf of the Dalit Liberation Movement to recover the encroached 250 acres of land near Erode and give it to the Scheduled Tribes.

On behalf of the Dalit Liberation Movement, a petition was filed in the Erode District Collector's Office.

In that petition, they have claimed that 250 acres of land, which should have been given to Scheduled Tribes by the government 30 years ago in Mathur village next to Andhiur in Erode District, are being occupied by non-beneficiaries, and that steps should be taken to recover these lands and give them to Scheduled Tribes immediately.

Similarly, they have said that Panchami lands have been encroached upon in various villages in Gobi and Anthiyur areas, and they have said in the petition that such encroached lands should be recovered and given to the appropriate beneficiaries.
