A G20 Jan Bhagidari Event 'Coin and Note exchange mela' was conducted by RBI at Kanchipuram through SBI Kanchipuram branch on June 12, 2023.
The event, inaugurated by Mr. D. Srikumar, AGM, RBI, was conducted with the objective of implementing Clean Note Policy of RBI and to make coins of various denominations available to the general public.
During the Event, the bank branch facilitated the exchange of soiled notes and mutilated notes through their banking counters. Further, coins of various denominations were distributed to the customers and general public.
In order to give wide publicity, standees and banners on G20 were displayed. G20 merchandise (caps, T-shirts) were distributed to the general public.
