Dr. M.Pushpa Rani, Director of Mother Teresa Women’s University Madurai Campus delivered thematic address and welcomed the gathering on the celebration of Mupperum Vizha. A NSS unit was inaugurated by the honourable Vice chancellor Dr.K.Kala at Mother Teresa Women’s University Madurai Campus. As the first step, tree plantation was initiated with planting tree sapling by the vice chancellor and Director along with teaching fraternity of Madurai campus.
The Vice Chancellor Dr. K.Kala presided over the function. In her presidential address, she insisted the role of youth in building the nation. Agree millet food fest was also organised more than 80 Students exhibited various food varieties prepared with millets in connection with International year of Millets celebration. It was the feast to visit and witness the enthusiasm of the students via their Millet Food Stalls.
As a part of this function, a MoU with MSME was signed and Mr. Dhinakaran, Assistant Director of MSME delivered special address.
The Trifecta was ended with great dedication and enthusiasm. Dr. S. Valli Devasena, Assistant professor of Commerce proposed vote of thanks. Nearly 400 students of from various departments participated and benefited.
