Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam, the literary wing of Shriram group, one of India’s leading non-banking financial companies, is organizing Thirukkural Elocution, Drawing & Essay Contests 2023, the annual state-level competition from 7th Oct. to 19th Nov. 2023, for school and college students across 12 centres covering Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Madurai zone competition will be held at The Madura College on 5th Nov. 2023. The contest at other cities will be held as follows: Chennai on 7th Oct. 2023, Vellore on 8th Oct. 2023, Tambaram @ 14th Oct. 2023, Puducherry on 15th Oct. 2023, Tanjore on 21st Oct. 2023, Thiruvarur on 22nd Oct. 2023, Salem on 28th Oct. 2023, Trichy on 29th Oct. 2023, Nellai on 4th Nov. 2023, Coimbatore on 18th Nov. 2023, Erode on 19th Nov. 2023.

Last date for submitting the filled in application form is 14th Oct. 2023.
The contestants will be divided into 3 groups – Juniors (Classes: 6-8), Seniors (Classes: 9-12) and College (UG, PG, Engineering, Medical and Polytechnic students).
It is worth mentioning that Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam has been conducting this competition every year since 1988 with the view of enhancing awareness on the teachings of Thirukkural among the student community in the State.
