The Pulithevar Special Endowment Lecture of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar (PMT) Chair was organized by PMT Chair and the School of Social Sciences on 01.09.2023 in the Department of Sociology, Madurai Kamaraj University on the occasion of the 308th Birthday of the first freedom fighter of India, the King Pulithevar.
The Registrar i/c of Madurai Kamaraj University delivered the presidential address in which he has insisted that there should be an integrity among the students today by keeping the caste, religious affinity away from them as the King Pulithevar maintained his infantry.
Dr. G. Revathy Subbulakshmi, the Vice Principal and the public speaker in her endowment talk has recollected the various facts in the life of the Pulithevar and asked the students to carry forward themselves towards their life’s goal as the King Pulithevar did in his life. Dr. B. Boongothai, Head of the Department of Tamil studies, Sentamil College delivered the felicitation address.
Dr. P. Rajkumar, Professor and Director of PMT Chair has welcomed the gathering and elaborated the necessity of integration among the public in the society. Dr. D. Ramakrishnan, Dean Faculty of Arts, Madurai Kamaraj University has proposed vote of thanks.
