Envision Energy India, a global cleantech firm announced a major CSR initiative for Tree Plantation across India with 7000 saplings. Committed to build a cleaner planet, Envision Energy partnered with EARTHDAY.ORG, which is operating in 190 countries over last 50 years to execute this plantation drive across Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh in FY2024.
The Tree Plantation drive was inaugurated at Tiruchirappalli Blade Plant in the presence of senior Tamil Nadu Govt. officials that include Mr. Ganesalingham - District Forest Officer, Mr. Selva Kumar - District Environment Engineer, Mr. Muthuraja, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Shakti Saravana Kumar, Special Tehsildar, Viralimalai, Mr. Karrupaiah – Viralimalai Tehsildar and the entire India Leadership Team. The company’s plantation drive is aligned to the Envision order book in India of ~7GW of Smart Wind Turbines {7000 saplings (1MW = 1Sapling)} and enhanced as the business grows.
In partnership with EarthDay Network, 650 fruit tree saplings are planted Friday at Tiruchirappalli Blade Plant that include Guava, Mango, Chiku and Jackfruit due to numerous benefits. Guava trees are highly adaptable to various soils and climates, Mangoes are culturally significant in Tamil Nadu and are drought-tolerant, making them ideal for Trichy's semi-arid climate, Chiku trees improve soil quality and prevent erosion. and bear fruit year- while Jackfruit trees thrive in Trichy's warm, humid climate and are resistant to pests and diseases.
