TNAU’s School of Post Graduate Studies at Tamil Nadu, India offers Masters programme in 33 disciplines and Doctoral programme in 28 disciplines at 11 constituent colleges.
Dr.V. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU launched the online application portals for the above admissions on May 7, 2024. The entrance examination was conducted for the disciplines such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, and Community Sciences.
A total of 2330 applicants for Masters programmes and 380 students for doctoral programmes have applied for various programmes as per their subject preference and appeared for the TNAU Post Graduate Entrance Examination on 23rd June, 2024. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Telangana, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu have taken part in the examinations. More than 100 faculties and 50 administrative staff of TNAU were engaged in the conduct of the examination process at 33 halls including UG/PG examination halls and lecture halls. The QR codes linked with google maps generated and displayed for locating various examination halls were well appreciated by the parents and the candidates.
During the examination, Dr.V.Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor greeted the students for their success in the examination. Dr. N. Venkatesa Palanichamy, Dean (Agriculture) and Dr. A. Raviraj, Dean (Agricultural Engineering) were present. Dr. N. Senthil, Dean (School of Post Graduate Studies) and the Chairman of the PG Admissions made all the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examinations. Staff of the School of Post Graduate Studies have made elaborate arrangements for the logistics for the parents and the exam appearing pan India candidates for the previous day and on the exam day. Selected candidates will be admitted in the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes during September 2024.
