The award ceremony of Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarship 2023-24 to the students studying in various degree programs in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore was held at Rasi Seeds hall, TNAU on 18.06.2024.
Dr.V.Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, Dr.N.Venkatesa Palanisamy, Dean (Agriculture), Mr. Eqbal Manoj, Senior Vice President and Country Head Branch Bank, Mr.P.V.Jithesh, Senior Vice President and Zonal Head, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Mrs.P.Kalpana, Vice President and Zonal Head, Coimbatore and various university officers hosted the ceremony.
Dr. N. Venkatesa Palanisamy, in his welcome address said that the Scholarship cell in TNAU which has been running for the last two years in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has been organizing scholarships for economically backward, differently-abled university students and single parent students through various charitable organizations. He also said that through the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation, 39 students and scholars will be given educational assistance through this ceremony.
Mr. Eqbal Manoj, Senior Vice President and Country Head Branch Bank in his speech said that the 9 students who studied in TNAU last year was offered a maximum of Rs. 1,00,000 through Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation. He informed that 39 students are currently being given the same. He further said that this scholarship includes tuition fees, special fees, hostel rent, mess fees, examination fees and the cost of a laptop.
