Mother Teresa Women’s University , Madurai Campus organized a Twin Program on Fresher's Day & Life Skills Orientation on July 24th, 2024.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address Dr. M.Pusparani, Director, Mother Teresa Women’s University. She emphasized the significance of college life and education, highlighting how a positive mindset can shape one's future. She passionately conveyed that "our mind is our life" and stressed that positive thoughts have the power to elevate individuals to great heights. In her address, she quoted and drew the inspiration from the life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India's former President and renowned scientist.
Following the welcome address, Professor Rtn. S. Sethupathy, Former Vice Principal of DIET, Mayanur, delivered an engaging speech that resonated with the students. He inspired them with the message that "the sky is your limit," urging them to maintain a positive outlook to shape a promising future. He told about the power of happiness, noting that a joyful disposition can make challenges easier, and to transform even the most difficult individuals into humble beings.
Glimspes and reflections of the Student Induction Programme were elaborately reported by Dr. P. B. Beulahbel Bency, organizer of the Programme. Seniors received the freshers with flowers, gift and sweets. Certificates were distributed to the students. Student Teacher Harini, B.Ed Special Education was selected as ‘Miss Fresher 2024’ and she was honoured with crown and Ribbon Badge. Refreshments were given to all the participants. Dr. Padmavathy, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
