Annai Fatima College of Arts and Science, located in Alampatti near Thirumangalam, Madurai district, recently organized a one-day computer and mobile technology workshop for students of government higher secondary schools of Achchampatti and Poosalapuram villages. The workshop was headed by Professor Karthika, Head of the Computer Science Department.
Dr. Abdul Kadir, Principal of the college, inaugurated the workshop and emphasized the importance of digital literacy in today’s world. He highlighted the increasing cyber threats and the need for individuals to be equipped with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves. Professor Karthika, along with Professor Seenivasan and System Engineer Udaya Kathirvan, provided training on various topics including ethical hacking, hardware networking, animation game designing, mobile technology, web designing, and hacking tricks.
Over 150 students actively participated in the workshop. The faculty members of the Computer Science Department, including Bakkiya, Lakshmi Priya, Vincidevi, Kaalishwari, Vaishnavi, Deepak Sri, Ruba Gowri, Rajalakshmi, Nandhini, Thaufeeq Ahmed, Rajkumar, Jagadish, Dinesh Kumar, Mayan Tamilarasan, Rahul, Navineeswaran, Vikash, Arif Hussain, Tharanitharan, and Manikanda Prabhu provided hands-on training to the students.
Mr. Ramasubramaniam, Mr. Ilangovan, Headmasters of Achampatti and Phusalapuram Government Hr. Sec. Schools and teachers Sujatha, Shanmugapriya, Sundaravalli and Lakshmi brought the students to the camp in the Anai Fathima College bus.
The workshop was coordinated by Professors Ramanathan, Sasikala, Nandhini, Megala, Kavitha, Sakay Axelin Praveena, Bhuvaneshwari, and Thulasiram. The heads of the government schools in Achchampatti and Poosalapuram, along with their teachers, accompanied the students to the college.
