The Board Of Studies (BOS) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Southern India Regional Council SIRC) along with Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association hosted the two day National Conference for CA Students on 3rd August 2024 in Chennai. Around 900 CA Students have attended the two day National Conference.
The Chief Guest was Shri Thiru. Sivarajah Ramanathan the CEO of Startup TN under whose leadership the stated had garnered with ‘Best Performer’ from the Union Government. The Guest of Honour was R Bhupathy who was former ICAI President of year 2003-2004.
The Two day event is marked by technical sessions on subjects of industry and economy relevance in which students present their research papers before subject experts. The event is also marked by special sessions in which luminaries like CA. M P Vijaya Kumar, G. Sekar and Motivational sessions by CFOs who are chartered accountants in large or Multinational companies.
The Motivational Session was conducted to inspire students and to motivate students on how to move ahead in life. The Motivatioal Session Speakers were CA Satish Gadulla CFO of Mangal Industries and CA Sarvanan P CFO and Director of Sagent Technologies.
In the Inaugural Session the dignitaries including Guest of Honour CA. R. Bupathy and The Chief Guest, Thiru Sivarajah delivered a speech on how the Chartered Accountants are shapig the landscape of Startup World. He also mentioned how the Future Chartered Accountants can change the dynamics of the startup around the country. He also recognize the value of Chartered Accountants and impressed on the students need to anticipate the changes happening around them and use their professional acumen to be adaptable to the changing world where laws and policies are vulnerable to massive changes in protocols. The insights of the expert speakers offered great food for thought to the students who were appreciative of the same.
