Press Information Bureau and CBC Tamil Nadu Puducherry Andaman Additional Director General Shri M Annadurai said that Integrated Communication Outreach Programme on govt welfare schemes will be held at Coimbatore Police Community Hall from August 27 to 31.
Speaking to media persons at Coimbatore on Monday he said that Integrated Communication Outreach Programme ICOP will be organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Chennai under Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He said that Shri P. Ganapathy Rajkumar, Honble Member of Parliament. Coimbatore, Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan, Honble Member of Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore South Constituency are expected to grace inaugural function on August 27. More over district level officers from various departments Shri. Jithendran P P. Lead District Manager, Canara Bank, Coimbatore, Shri K Siva Sankar Sr Postal Supdt, Coimbatore, Smt R.Andal, Project Officer I/C, ICDS, Coimbatore, Smt.R.Ambika, Social Welfare Officer, Coimbatore will be addressing the inaugural session.
The ICOP is based on government welfare schemes with special emphasis on Skill India, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, World Space Day, Digital India. The inauguration of the ICOP will be held on August 27 at Police Community Hall Avinashi Road near VOC Garden Coimbatore at 11AM.
There are more than 40 exhibition panels on various government schemes including PM Jan Aoushadhi, Rural Housing scheme, Urban Housing Scheme, Assistance for differently abled, Start Up India, Skill India, Ayushman Bharat, Vande Bharat trains, Empowering differently abled persons, PM Mudra Yojana, Progress of women, entrepreneurs and other training. Postal department has put up a stall on Sukanya Samridhi scheme, and other postal savings schemes. Awareness will be created on Adhar updation in post offices. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme will be given emphasis by ICDS Project officer and CDPOs. Social welfare officer will speak on government social welfare schemes, District child protection officer will speak on child protection laws. Health officials will stress on various government schemes to prevent TB, and other epidemics. There will be a health camp organized by Sankara Eye Hospital.
LED screening on Yoga and government schemes will be screened. Publicity programmes as part of the ICOP will be held at villages like Sulur, Kamatchipuram, S Mettupalayam, Seerapalayam, Vazhukkuparai and Othakalmandapam Govt Higher Secondary School. Officials from various department will go to the villages and address the villagers on various topics in coordination with Panchayat presidents, Swachh Bharat Mission coordinators and BDOs. We will be distributing pamphlets on government welfare schemes to all visitors. Cloth bags are distributed as part of creating awareness on plastic free world and environment safeguard. Saplings will be distributed to popularize concept of afforestation Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Plant one tree in the name of Mother.
Integrated Communication Outreach Programmes were held this month in Salem, Perambalur and other parts of state on various central government welfare schemes. Smt Leela Meenatchi Director Central Bureau of Communication Chennai, Field Publicity Officer Tiruchirappalli Shri K Devi Padmanabhan were also present in the media conference. TA Chennai Shri Murali TA Coimbatore Shri Chandrasekhar FPAs Shri Thyagarajan Shri Arunkumar coordinated the event.
