SIPCOT Plans Rs. 24 Crore Industrial Innovation Centre in Madurai

SIPCOT conducted a stakeholders' meeting with the support of StartupTN in Madurai on 01.08.2024 to identify the focus areas from various stakeholders. The event has witnessed 233 participations from the southern region. SIPCOT proposed to establish a state-of-the-art Industrial Innovation Centre, covering an area of 26,500 sq.ft, in Madurai at a cost of Rs.24 crore.


Thiru. Dr. K. Senthil Raj, IAS, MD, SIPCOT highlighted the industrial development undertaken by Govt. in and around Madurai District and the importance of the Innovation Centre at Madurai. 


Thiru. Sivarajah, Mission Director & CEO StartupTN has provided insights on the need and necessity for an Innovation Centre in Madurai which will enrich the Southern Districts. 


Thiru. Vish Sahasranamam, Co-founder & CEO, Forge, has provided an overview of Innovation Centres already established at Hosur & Sriperumbudur and the focus areas of SIIC Madurai.


Members from CII Madurai, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce, MADITTSSIA, Digitall Forum, SIDA (Software Industrial Development Association) & Agro Food Trade Centre, etc., attended the stakeholders.
